The focus of UI Design is on the users' visual experience. It determine how a user interacts with an interface be it an app, website or video game. It's all about how the user navigates from X to Y through different points; either tapping of button or swiping through pages or pictures.
The Role of a UI Designer.
The role of a User Interface is to design all the screens through which a user will move and to create the visual elements. A User Interface should put the following into consideration when designing:
- users judge designs quickly and care about usability and likability
- user interface should be enjoyable i.e satisfying and frustration or stress free
- user interface should communicate brand values and reinforce users' trust.

Often confused with UX design, UI design is more concerned with the surface and overall feel of a design. UI design is a craft where you the designer build an essential part of the user experience. UX design covers the entire spectrum of the user experience. One analogy is to picture UX design as a car with UI design as the driving console.
